Arrest Made In Early Morning Robbery

The On Cue Convenience Store, located at 1613 West South Avenue, was robbed at gunpoint yesterday morning. The robbery was reported to Police just before 2am. Officers responded and searched the immediate area. The assistance of the Kay County Sheriff’s Office K-9 and handler were requested. Officers located and arrested Richard Adam DeBelle, 22, from a residence in the 700 block of North Osage yesterday morning at approximately 6:15am. DeBelle was held for on outstanding City and Kay County Warrants.

Yesterday afternoon the charge of Armed Robbery was added to DeBelle’s list of charges. Officers have not yet recovered the firearm used in the robbery. Investigators believe that additional arrest are likely.

DeBelle’s local warrants were for Fail to Appear on Petit Larceny, Obstructing and Public Intoxication charges. The Kay County Warrant was for Fail to Pay on Impersonating a Police Officer.
