A 23-year-old Perkins man was transported by Life Flight to OU Medical Center in Oklahoma City after a collission at 11:23 p.m. Wednesday on State Highway 33, three miles east of Langston in Payne County.

Nathanael Craig Calavan was admitted to the hospital in critical condition with whole body injuries, according to the Oklahoma Highway Patrol. Calavan was driving a 2001 Toyota Tundra which collided with a 2012 Volvo semi, driven by John Edward Pina, 28, of Lawton, Oklahoma.  Pina was not injured, the Highway patrol reported.

The OHP report said Calavan was eastbound on State Highway 33 and the semi was westbound. Calavan’s vehicle  drifted across the center line and Pina used evasive action and moved to the right. Calavan’s vehicle struck Pina’s truck, the Trooper reported.
