‘To Save a Life’ airing tonight at high school

The Friends of Rachel Club, a high school non-profit organization led by the student body to reduce bullying and suicidal thoughts, will present at movie, “To Save a Life,” tonight.

The film will show at 6 p.m. in the Ponca City High School auditorium. The film explores how saving a life could be just a matter of opening our ears to the cries of those hurting, through a dramatic story.

After the death of a childhood friend, a popular teen risks his own social standing by reaching out to classmates who are usually shunned.

This movie deals with many elements which tens face today, such as suicide, sex, teen pregnancy, divorce, drugs, cutting, hypocrisy and religion. The film is rated PG-13.

The movie is free of charge and open to the community. Popcorn and water will be provided by donation while supplies last.

Counselors and area clergy members will be available after the movie.
