Three Ark City men arrested for methamphetamine possession

ARKANSAS CITY, Kansas — The Arkansas City Police Department arrested three Arkansas City men early Saturday morning on drug charges after a traffic stop in south Arkansas City.

Caleb Timothy Galliher-Logue, 18; Joshua David Hamilton, 27; and Joseph Miguel Valdez, 27, all were arrested on suspicion of possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of methamphetamine.

Galliher-Logue also was arrested on suspicion of interference with law enforcement and obstructing apprehension after allegedly providing false identity information to police during the traffic stop.

Hamilton and Valdez were transported to and booked into the Cowley County Jail in lieu of $6,000 bond through Cowley County District Court in Arkansas City.

Galliher-Logue was booked into the county jail without bond on the above charges and outstanding warrants for probation violation through both district court and Arkansas City Municipal Court.

Galliher-Logue and Valdez remained in custody at the time of this release. Hamilton has posted bond and been released.

An officer stopped a vehicle just after midnight Saturday in the 600 block of South Summit Street for a defective equipment violation. Two occupants were able to present Kansas identification, but Galliher-Logue said he did not have an identification card and gave police false identification information.

The driver gave police permission to search the vehicle. Drug items, including methamphetamine and paraphernalia, were located inside the vehicle during the search.
