Oklahoma’s Westbrook named nation’s top receiver

ATLANTA (AP) – Oklahoma’s Dede Westbrook has won the Biletnikoff Award as the top receiver in college football.

Westbrook, a senior, picked up the trophy Thursday night at the College Football Hall of Fame in Atlanta. He beat out Austin Carr of Northwestern and Zay Jones of East Carolina.

Westbrook teamed with quarterback Baker Mayfield for 74 receptions, 1,465 yards and 16 touchdowns, helping the Sooners win the Big 12 title.
