James, Woodard lead Oklahoma romp past Oral Roberts, 92-66

NORMAN, Okla. (AP) – Christian James scored a team-high 17 points in just 22 minutes, and Jordan Woodard added 15 points as Oklahoma overcame a sluggish start to cruise past Oral Roberts, 92-66, on Wednesday night.

Oklahoma (6-2) needed a strong performance following a 20-point loss to Wisconsin Saturday.

Woodard, James and Rashard Odomes scored 28 of its 44 points in the second half.

Oklahoma forced Oral Roberts into 20 turnovers, recorded 16 steals and shot 51.6 percent from the field.

Kristian Doolittle and Khadeem Lattin each added nine points and four rebounds. Matt Freeman and Jordan Shepherd each scored nine points off the bench, which totaled 39 points.

Kris Martin and Jalen Bradley each had 19 points to lead Oral Roberts but were the only players in double figures for the Golden Eagles (1-8), who scored the first two points of the game but trailed the rest of the way.
