The Tonkawa Chamber of Commerce is sponsoring a Candidate Forum prior to the April 2 city council elections. The forum will take place at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 26, at the Tonkawa Public School Event Center. The forum will be a Q&A with the candidates for City Council. The questions for the community will be gathered prior to the event. If you have any questions you would like to submit, then have them submitted to the chamber office by this upcoming Monday, February 25, by 4 p.m. Questions can also be submitted via email at [email protected]; or mail them to 102 E. Grand, Tonkawa, OK, 74653; or bring them by the Tonkawa Chamber Office. Candidates on the forum will be ward four incumbent Rick Allan who is being challenged by Scott Klufa; and for at-large, Stacy Burns and Joe Kingery. There is no incumbent for the at-large position since Charles Conaghen elected to not seek re-election. Ward three councilman Jack Evans was unopposed.
