4 Oklahoma Sooners named All-Big 12 first team

NORMAN, Okla. (AP) – Four Oklahoma baseball players have been named to the All-Big 12 Conference first team.

Center fielder Craig Aiken, second baseman Kolbey Carpenter, catcher-first baseman Anthony Hermelyn and shortstop Sheldon Neuse were named to the team Tuesday.

Aikin is batting .349 and is tied for the conference lead with 82 hits. Carpenter has played four positions while hitting .363 with eight home runs. Hermelyn is hitting .316 with five home runs and a conference-leading 47 runs batted in. Neuse is hitting .287 with six home runs and 10 stolen bases.
