Charity Angels Ambucs propose adding equipment to park

Ponca City Now - November 22, 2019 1:11 pm

Members of Charity Angels Ambucs presented a proposal to the Parks and Recreation Advisory Board Thursday night to donate new equipment to the Ambuc Park at Lake Ponca.

Wendy Bond presented renditions of proposed equipment the organization wants to add to expand the playground. The equipment includes a basket swing, which hangs from an arched structure. Bond said the swings are especially soothing to autistic children.

A second piece is a wheelchair-accessible merry-go-round which will hold two wheelchairs and 4 to 6 other children. The merry-go-round is level to the ground.

The presentation was for information only and the advisory board will take action on the proposal at a future meeting.
