2 Dead, More Than 150 Missing in Northeast Tennessee Following Flooding, TEMA Says

According to the Tennessee Emergency Management Agency, two people are dead and more than 150 people are missing in Northeast Tennessee following the devastating flooding from Helene.

The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation has established a hotline to report any missing persons in the area impacted by the recent flooding in Northeast Tennessee.

Those wishing to report anyone missing are to call 1-800-TBI-FIND, and they say callers should be prepared to relay as much identifying information as possible.

Authorities are continuing their efforts to find those who are missing in our area.

As of Monday morning, here are the numbers of missing people per county:

  • Washington County: 62
  • Johnson County: 4
  • Unicoi County: 47
  • Other Surrounding Counties: 40
