A teen was found dead on Monday night along Highway 60 in Bartlesville, according to police.

Police said they received calls around 10:45 Monday night that someone saw a man near the side of the road along Highway 60 and Frank Phillips Boulevard.

When officers arrived to investigate, they said they found a 16-year-old dead, and he had been shot.

Witnesses reported there was a vehicle that drove away from the scene after shots were fired, police said.

Police said they have a suspect in custody, but they won’t be releasing any names until they’re able to ensure that person was involved.

Police have not released the name of the victim at this time.

Police said they will continue to check surveillance video. There is no threat to the public and it’s believed to be an isolated situation, police said.
