13-year-old arrested at East Middle School for making terroristic threats

A 13-year-old male was taken into custody at approximately 10:18 a.m. Friday from East Middle School for making terroristic threats.
The School Resource Officer was made aware that the juvenile had made comments in class about being a school shooter.
He was brought to the Ponca City Police Department. The Office of Juvenile Affairs and the District Attorney’s Office were contacted along with the subject’s guardian.
He is being held at the Ponca City Police Department awaiting transport to a detention facility.
