Team Radio Marketing Group - December 9, 2016 9:16 am

Seated, from left, are Lisa Mansfield, Association Executive for the North Central Board of Realtors, Vi Bottger, President of the Board and Realtor Regina Vidricksen. Standing, from left, are Cpl. Trey Thompson, FOP President; Cpl. Ben Garrison, Cpl. Manny Lara; Assistant Police Chief Anthony Rogers and Lt. Tom Duroy. The group met to discuss the upcoming Shop with a Cop program.

The North Central Board of Realtors held a silent auction and dinner on Nov. 18. The money raised was gifted to each Police Department within Kay County. The Newkirk, Tonkawa, Blackwell and Ponca City Police Departments all received a donation.

Each department will help children through their own Shop with a Cop Program. The Ponca City Police Department received $2,500. Plans are underway for the upcoming Christmas shopping trip.

The North Central Board of Realtors also recognized the Ponca City Police Department and presented Police Chief Don Bohon the Eagle Award. The annual award is presented to an outstanding citizen or group within the community. According to Vi Bottger, President of the Board, the decision to recognize the Ponca City Police Department was unanimous.
